Aurora DSP Support

Practical answers for installing, activating and using Aurora DSP software.

How do I install an Aurora DSP plug-in?

Windows: extract the downloaded ZIP, run the supplied installer and select only the formats required by your DAW.

macOS: open the supplied PKG installer and follow the system prompts. Your DAW may need to rescan plug-ins after installation.

Linux: follow the README included with the product package. Available formats and supported distributions are listed on each product page.

Which plug-in format should I choose?

Use VST3 for most current DAWs, AU for Apple hosts such as Logic Pro, AAX for Pro Tools, and LV2 or CLAP only where both the product and host support them. The standalone application runs without a DAW.

Read the plug-in formats guide.

Where are plug-ins installed?

Common Windows locations include C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 and C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins.

Common macOS locations include /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3, /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components and /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins.

Where are presets stored?

User presets are normally stored inside the Aurora DSP folder in your Documents directory. The precise folder name depends on the product.

Why does the standalone application have no sound?

Open Audio/MIDI Settings, select the intended input and output devices, then verify that the required input channel is active. On macOS, also allow microphone access for the application in System Settings.

What should I do if security software flags an installer?

Do not bypass a warning blindly. Confirm that the file came from your authenticated Aurora DSP account, compare the published checksum when available, update the security database and contact support if the warning remains.

What are the minimum system requirements?

Requirements vary by product and platform. The compatibility section on each product page is the authoritative source for supported operating systems, architectures, formats and minimum hardware.

Is a trial available?

Where a trial is offered, its macOS, Windows and Linux installers appear on the product page after you log in or create an Aurora DSP account.

Where are my downloads and licences?

Purchased and claimed products are assigned to your Aurora DSP account. Account-protected installers and licence information will be available from My Downloads and License Manager as the new entitlement system is activated.

How do I contact support?

Use the contact form or email support@auroradsp.com. Include the product name, version, operating system, DAW and plug-in format.
